From last.fm:
Pat Dougherty began writing songs in a borrowed storage closet. Tinkering with only a borrowed drum set and an old organ, he would periodically emerge to share the works in progress to handful of close friends that would later become Fairfax, AK. After spending the summer performing around the Midwest, the group retreated to an attic in a worn, yellow house in Frogtown and began crafting their upcoming debut album, Love Stories and Picture Shows. Brynn Andre
From Minnesota
First Twin Cities show since since May 22, 2011 • First Amsterdam show • Third Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar since December 22, 2010
From last.fm:
Brynn Andre is a Minneapolis singer/songwriter. Originally from Western North Dakota, Andre brings a confessional and often heart-wrenching touch to her music. Andre’s voice is solid, with stylings akin to Missy Higgins and Vanessa Carlton, but her greatest strength is in the songwriting. Andre knows who she’s singing to and nails the target head-on, and while her confessional pop sound is far from feel-good and sugary, her lyrics line up nicely with a well-executed percussive piano melody. Andre’s songs are all heart-on-my-sleeve, and her voice is tuned perfectly for dynamic keying. Read more about Brynn Andre on Last.fm.
