Latterell has been performing in the Twin Cities as a solo artist since 2008 when he released the EP, ‘The Sweetheart Boy of the Rainbow Café.’ In 2010 he released his first full-length CD, ‘Charades.’ In early 2011 Latterell posted a series of free singles to his website, mattlatterell.com. These singles now comprise half of his most recent album, 'Life On Land.' While occasionally still performing solo shows, Matt can usually be seen performing with a band consisting of himself, Holly Newsom, Steve McPherson and Reed Pagel. Read more on Last.fm

This the earnest work of a student of that school of American music. King walks the wavering line of a mortal held to the impossible standards of a hypocritical world. There is someone or something just ou of sight in almost ever song, someone or something evil. The songs are sincere and evocative, defiant and a bit world-weary.
