All the Pretty Horses is a dark glam/metal band based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and fronted by transgendered lead singer Venus de Mars. The band has seen a varying lineup over its long history, perhaps most notably with fellow transgendered bandmates Tempest and Jendeen. The band briefly disbanded in 2006 so that each member could follow separate musical career paths. Venus De Mars pursued a solo career, releasing one album, Trashed and Broken Hearted. Dan Israel is a singer-songwriter currently based in Minneapolis. He won Song of the Year (for "Come to Me") at the 2005 Minnesota Music Awards. In the late '80s and early '90s, he was one-half of the folk duo One Town Horse in Chicago. In the mid '90s, he fronted the Austin, TX folk-rock group Potter's Field (where he was named one of Austin's top 15 songwriters). In 1996, he moved to Minneapolis, where he formed Dan Israel and the Cultivators, releasing several CDs, both solo and with the Cultivators. Dan Israel on Last.fm.
