From Minneapolis
First show since since April 24, 2010 • First headlining show • Seventh show on MN Live's calendar since December 19, 2009
From last.fm:
The Phoenix Philosophy is an Electronic Rock band from Minneapolis, MN. The idea behind “the phoenix philosophy” applies to the band’s sonic evolution from a 4 piece rock band into a heavily electronic influenced duo consisting of Jesse Weber (vocals/keys/programming) and Stephanie Thorup (vocals/guitar/keys). Keeping the element of commanding guitars and introducing dueling male/female vocals over eerie synths creates a sonic blend of rock and electronic (pop) that matures and inspires with every release. From last.fm:
There are more then one artist by this name: 1) The Infidels was a power pop group from Youngstown, Ohio. Pete Repear, John Dillinger, Ken Laverty, David Lisko, and Frank Secich. They had a dense, guitar driven sound similar to early R.E.M. EDIT by BabaOriley: The original Infidels are from Youngstown, Ohio. The band started one day in late June 1982, when a virtual inseparable pair of 15 year olds, John Hlumyk and Pete Drivere, decided to start the first and (arguably) the last punk rock band in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania.
