There are currently two groups listed that share the name Vaudeville: 1) (Minneapolis, MN alternative, hardrock, electronic) Vaudeville, brainchild of Coon Rapids, MN native Christopher Gummeson, began in the fall of 2007. In the summer of 2008 Vaudeville won a battle of the bands competition sending them to Nashville to record their debut album, "Dismantle the Sky" with Chris Mara. Hailing from Minnesota and comprising members Eric Tracey (vocals, guitar), Brian Harper (bass), Jeff Hedrix (guitar, vocals) and Paul Tuschy (drums, vocals), Smiling Politely embraces a brand of hard rock mostly associated with the post-grunge era of alternative music, complete with crunchy distortion and melodic textures. The band emerged in 2004 as Smiling Politely (a name taken from an episode... of the popular television show “The Simpsons”) and released their debut EP, Screamelody.
