Devin the Dude is a Houston-area rapper. Though relatively well-known among the community during the mid-to-late 90's, Devin did not achieve success until his appearance on Dr. Dre's 2001 album. Besides sex, relationships, ridin' trucks, smokin' reefer, drinkin' beer, partying, and conscious or proverbial themes, much of Devin's work is also light-hearted and comically self-deprecating. Born in Detroit in the late 80’s, Lizzo spent much of her formative years in the church, where she was raised on the gospel sounds of The Winans, The Clark Sisters, and Fred Hammond, along with mainstay secular artists such as Stevie Wonder and Elton John. At the age of 10 her family moved to Houston, TX, and Lizzo was exposed to a wide array of emerging Southern musical styles, from the trademark chopped and screwed rap tracks of the underground, to the progressive and polished R&B sounds of groups like Destiny’s Child that were raising the city’s national profile to new heights. From last.fm:

Lazerbeak is a thug. Do not be deceived by the nice-guy introductions backstage. Beak is responsible for some of the hardest lavabangers in hip hop, period. Catchy, rib-crushing, filthy. In his basement workshop, Beak works mostly with a MPC2000XL. He layers propulsive, hard-hitting drums with driving guitar and keyboard melodies. He paces after the addition of each element, ducking to avoid the overhead pipes, playing air drums, and calculating his next layer. Read more about Lazerbeak on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

A self-proclaimed daughter of the Midwest, singer/songwriter K.Raydio grew up in a household full of musical influences. Born in Evanston, Illinois, she was pushed creatively by her singer/guitarist mother and her Memphis-bred father, the son of a blues musician. Although outgoing and adventurous as a child (she's a Leo after all), K.Raydio also suffered from a tragic flaw: stage fright. Privately acknowledging that music was her passion, she still refused to sing in front of people - including her family. Read more about K.Raydio on Last.fm.
