From last.fm:

Rogue Valley is a new band led by Chris Koza, with Peter Sieve, Luke Anderson, and Linnea Mohn. Already a prolific songwriter and performer, Koza envisioned a grandiose concept project: write and record four full-length albums, and release each one in consecutive seasons beginning in the spring of 2010. Working with his longtime musical comrades, the Spring album, “Crater Lake,” is being released on April 10th at a unique show at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN. Tentative release dates for the subsequent records are August 2010, November 2010, and Februrary 2011. Read more about Rogue Valley on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

The illusive lyrics and raw emotion of Meredith Fierke, granddaughter of a nuclear physicist from Oppenheimer’s core, kicks the stool out from under the post-modern idea of a coalminer’s singer/songwriter. Fierke’s impressionistic songwriting dares the listener to make sense of the few shapes in dim twilight, calling up a mix of alternative, rock, and old-world murder ballads. Known for a powerful elegance both sonically austere and viscerally arresting, she mesmerizes audiences delivering a seductive vocal that often trends low, and from this darkness emerges a fiercely independent artist.
