From last.fm:

Junk Science is Baje One on the mic and DJ Snafu on the beats. Simple. These two gentlemen met in high school in Brooklyn in 1996 (when Baje One stole a handful of tapes from Snafu’s backpack, including a cassette containing original beats that were “dope”) and started making lots of “not-that-good-but-definitely-interesting” music together on half-days and weekends. Not that much happened between then and 2003-ish. At that point, they moved in together and started working on their debut album, Feeding Einstein, an album that URB magazine called “simply superb.” Read more about Junk Science on Last.fm.

No Bird Sing signed to Crushkill Recordings formed in late summer of 2008, combining the talents of Joe Horton (stage name of Eric Blair, vocals/keys) and Robert Mulrennan (guitars/electronics) of Hyder Ali with Graham O'Brien (drummer/electronics) of Abzorbr. The core of the band remains a trio, although guest appearances include Casey O'Brien and Kristoff Krane of Abzorbr. The space that results from the guitar/drum/vocal lineup is largely influenced by artists like One Day as a Lion and The Black Keys... Read more about No Bird Sing on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

In the early months of 2008, Ugly Orwell began to lose it. This, in its striking resemblance to the plague that befell August a year earlier, was making for an alarming trend. Wisconsin was a thing of the past by now. August had moved to Harlem, Ugly to Tampa… both in pursuit of dreams that didn’t seem to matter. "Strange Passengers" seemed a million miles away, until a single moment provided the inspiration for a different type of project. August was drunk, bundled up nicely in the third row of a since-imploded Shea Stadium… and Ugly was nursing a nosebleed at an airport bar. Read more about Bi-Polar Bear on Last.fm.
