From last.fm:

The van Gobots were conceived on the fourth of July, 2007 in the back of a minivan. They released their debut EP in September of 2008 and their follow-up full-length record, Guantanamo Beach Party was released in September of 2009. Guantanamo Beach Party spent one month in the CMJ Top 200 with a peak chart position of #128. After the departure of original drummer Keith Lacock, the band downsized from a quartet and reemerged as a trio in 2012, with Nick Geier converting from guitar to drums. Queen of France

From last.fm:

Formed from a largely uninteresting set of arranged meetings and random acquaintances, Queen of France began in the fall of 2010—motivated by nothing more than Iver Hillman having a bunch of demos lying around with no one to play them. The group has played many shows around the Twin-CIties in support of their five-song EP, "Thank You, I'll Have Several Of Those" (recorded in the fall of 2011 and described by someone really important as "lovely stuff"). There's nothing related to queens or the French here, but there is something to listen to. Read more about Queen of France on Last.fm.

Portage

From Minneapolis

First show since since August 26, 2012 • First 331 Club show • 16th show on MN Live's calendar since November 3, 2011

From last.fm:

Portage started writing music together in Duluth, MN in early 2011. What was intended to be a somber, acoustic duo quickly changed into something much noisier and more rooted in R&B than they would've imagined. The band quickly found themselves sharing stages and living rooms with bands Trampled By Turtles, Peter Wolf Crier, and The Black Eyed Snakes. Portage now calls Minneapolis their home.
