The van Gobots were conceived on the fourth of July, 2007 in the back of a minivan. They released their debut EP in September of 2008 and their follow-up full-length record, Guantanamo Beach Party was released in September of 2009. Guantanamo Beach Party spent one month in the CMJ Top 200 with a peak chart position of #128. After the departure of original drummer Keith Lacock, the band downsized from a quartet and reemerged as a trio in 2012, with Nick Geier converting from guitar to drums. There is more than one band called The Fontanelles 1.The Fontanelles hail from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. Although they originally played a few shows and recorded in 1998-99, the band didn't begin in earnest until summer 2005. They have played tons of shows in London and South Yorkshire.
