From last.fm:

The 4onthefloor’s new album, Spirit Of Minneapolis, evokes the spirit of American rebellion. That same pioneering spirit that brought us everything from modern aviation to rock & roll. Harnessing that spirit, the band is using it to break down modern music’s barriers down to our basic musical traditions. That ageless sound of rock & roll isn’t what it used to be, but the rumble of stomping feet emanating from Minneapolis is an omen of great things on the horizon. Retribution Gospel Choir is an indie rock band based out of Duluth, Minnesota, USA formed in 2007. Current members of the band include, Alan Sparhawk (guitar, vocals, sampler), Steve Garrington (bass), both of whom are also in the band Low, and Eric Pollard (drums, vocals). Despite sharing the majority of their members, RGC's high-energy performance differs greatly from Low's subdued, minimalist feel. Until 2008, Matt Livingston (formerly Low) played bass for the band. From last.fm:

The Heartbeats were a 1950s American doo-wop group best known for their song A Thousand Miles Away, which charted at #53 in 1957. The Heartbeats were formed in the mid 1950s in Jamaica, Queens. Originally called "The Hearts", they switched in 1955 when a female group by the same name scored a minor billboard hit. They were signed shortly after James "Shep" Sheppard joined the group, and were shuffled between various production companies over the next few years. The group split up in 1959, and Sheppard later went on to start Shep & The Limelites. The Heartbeats on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

Filligar is a touring rock quartet hailed as “one of the best young bands in America”. The lineup – three Mathias brothers and Casey Gibson – remains unchanged since the band’s early days recording and performing as teenagers in Chicago. The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) has recognized Filligar’s catalog of original music as of “prestige value” and the tastemaking Consequence of Sound has called their sound “a breath of fresh air.” Their latest release The Nerve was nominated for Best Rock album at the 2012 Independent Music Awards.
