Army Navy
From Los Angeles, California
First Twin Cities show since since October 5, 2012 • First Cause show • First headlining show
From last.fm:
Army Navy was born in the bedroom of Justin Kennedy, who in his early days played with Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie) in the Seattle band Pinwheel. Having relocated to Los Angeles after Pinwheel broke up, Kennedy began focusing on his new project and started assembling members for Army Navy. Multi-instrumentalist Louie Schultz joined swiftly after hearing Kennedy’s home demos. Without a permanent sticks man at the time of recording the first album, Army Navy’s album boasted drumming by the legendary Pete Thomas of Elvis Costello and The Attractions, who had been a longtime fan of the band. The Farewell Circuit
From Minneapolis
First show since since October 15, 2012 • First Cause show since September 15, 2012 • 49th show on MN Live's calendar since April 15, 2007
From last.fm:
Nestled in the tropical paradise of Minneapolis, Minnesota where men are God's among mortals; The Farewell Circuit has found a solid foothold in the music world. Incessant self produced releases mark the quintet's constant transformation and evolution as a band and as real people discovering themselves in this labyrinth we call life. Their music has been showcased as immature pop-rock in its early stages and has more recently developed into a powerful-mature sound of catchy guitar melodies, soft piano lines, aggressive percussion all tied together with the graceful vocals of Danny O'Brien.
