From last.fm:
The usual sounds brought to mind at the sight of a cityscape are typically loud, harsh, and overbearing. Roaring bus engines, rumbling trains on their tracks, and buzzing markets and cafes all amplify the sounds of people coming and going. These sounds create a constant, yet ever changing hum - a tune that can provide limitless resources for creative minds, but can also pummel the creative spirit. It is from this constant hum that We Are The Willows' Peter Miller conceptualized the tonal sound-scapes of his debut full-length, A Collection Of Sounds And Something Like The Plague. Greycoats
From Minneapolis
First show since since June 28, 2012 • First Amsterdam show • 24th show on MN Live's calendar since July 19, 2008
From last.fm:
It's a rare thing to find smart, poetic lyricism in pop music. Greycoats' anglo-rock manages to spend both words and melody wisely. Their debut full-length album, "Setting Fire to the Great Unknown" (self-released, 2008) was marked by strong ambition, heartfelt romanticism and big ideas with a cinematic sweep exploring the mechanics of polarization. Their music found airtime on the hit teen drama Gossip Girl, leading to national exposure for the quartet from Minnesota and a tour of both U.S. coasts through the end of 2009.
