From there, the rest of the would be band was only a phone call away: she called up her cousin, multi-instrumentalist Angie Krube, and the Chord and the Fawn was born. Raised in a pentecostal church outside of Grand Forks, ND, the brother’s Killfoil are a musical force to be reckoned with. Their songwriting employs heavy religious imagery, laced with pained, lustful, and often humorous wit. The Sunny Era is a three piece multi-instrumental and vocal ensemble that fuses Experimental Music, Indie Rock, Romani, and Spanish styles. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the group is made up of Eric Stainbrook, who sings and plays classical guitar, electric guitar, and theremin; Laila Stainbrook, who plays violin, accordion, and piano; and Rob Foehl, who plays percussion.
