The Soft Pack are an indie rock band which formed in San Diego, California, United States in 2007. They consist of Matt Lamkin (vocals, guitar), Matty McLoughlin (guitar), David Lantzman (bass) and Brian Hill (drums). They were originally known as The Muslims and released one single and a 12" EP on 1928 Recordings under their previous name. As the Soft Pack they have released two EPs. Their self-titled debut LP was released in February 2010. The Soft Pack on Last.fm.

Kurt Vile & the Violators are a rock band from Philadelphia PA, United States. The band draws influences from lo-fi, psychedelic and classic rock. Founded by frontman Kurt Vile (guitar, vocals), the band currently consists of Jesse Turbo (guitar, slide), Mike Zeng (percussion) and Adam Granduciel (guitar, bass). Kurt and Adam have played music together ever since the early 00's with each one contributing to the other's projects, most notably in The War on Drugs which is fronted by Granducial. Kurt Vile (born 1980 in Philadelphia) is an American guitarist and singer. Previously the lead guitarist in the band The War on Drugs, he began his solo career in 2008. Vile began his musical career in 2003 creating lo-fi home recordings with frequent collaborator Adam Granduciel. The duo subsequently formed the indie rock band The War on Drugs in 2005. Vile departed following the release of their debut studio album, Wagonwheel Blues, in 2008. Vile's music has been likened to Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, and Tom Petty. Read more on Last.fm
