The Henry Clay People
From California
First Twin Cities show since since September 30, 2010 • First Entry show • First headlining show • Fourth Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar since February 27, 2009
From last.fm:
The Henry Clay People are a rock and roll band from Los Angeles. With common comparisons to Pavement and The Replacements they play a type of no-frills, pretention-free rock that has sorely been missing from LA. The band is made up of brothers Joey (vocals, guitar) and Andy (guitar, vocals) Siara, Jonathan Price (bass, vocals) and Eric Scott (drums). Last year, the group released Blacklist the Kid with the Red Moustache to much critical acclaim. The album was produced by Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, British Sea Power) and Colin Stewart (Frog Eyes, Pretty Girls Make Graves). Read more about The Henry Clay People on Last.fm.
The Dig
From New York, New York
First Twin Cities show since since February 25, 2010 • First Entry show • Third Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar since November 9, 2009
From last.fm:
"New York quartet The Dig have been building some buzz from their first two full-lengths of ’80s shoegaze-inspired rock. It’s a Cure-meets-T. Rex sound that utilizes dark keyboards, with enough reverb to drown Robert Smith. The band’s newest release, arriving just a year after Midnight Flowers, is the Tired Hearts EP, which continues to hone their shadowy sound." - Consequence of Sound Read more about The Dig on Last.fm.
