Battlefields
From Minnesota
First Twin Cities show since since March 13, 2010 • First headlining show since July 6, 2007 • Seventh Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar since July 6, 2007
From last.fm:
After the release of their 2009 full-length, "Thresholds Of Imbalance", BATTLEFIELDS lost founding guitarist Andrew Wallin, and went on a brief hiatus from playing shows. "Agassiz" is the band's return to the trenches with two new members and a more sonically assaulting blackened blend of metal and hardcore. Agassiz blasts through six songs in under a half-hour, presenting a concept EP of the glacial lake Agassiz, whose dried up geographic location is where the band's base of operations lies. Lesser Known Saint
From Minneapolis
First show since since July 5, 2010 • First Triple Rock show since May 29, 2010 • Fourth show on MN Live's calendar since January 29, 2010
From last.fm:
Is it possible for a “drinking band with a rock problem” to actually care about every single note they play? Despite a fondness for booze of all forms, Minneapolis transplants Lesser Known Saint don’t let consumption get in the way of their shared desire to create dynamic music full of intertwining melodies, waves of texture, and sludgy riffs. With three guitars, bass, keyboards, drums, and three vocalists – fueled by black tooth grins and Black Label beer – the band wields a great amount of power.
