The Phoenix Philosophy is an Electronic Rock band from Minneapolis, MN. The idea behind “the phoenix philosophy” applies to the band’s sonic evolution from a 4 piece rock band into a heavily electronic influenced duo consisting of Jesse Weber (vocals/keys/programming) and Stephanie Thorup (vocals/guitar/keys). Keeping the element of commanding guitars and introducing dueling male/female vocals over eerie synths creates a sonic blend of rock and electronic (pop) that matures and inspires with every release. There are currently two groups listed that share the name Vaudeville: 1) (Minneapolis, MN alternative, hardrock, electronic) Vaudeville, brainchild of Coon Rapids, MN native Christopher Gummeson, began in the fall of 2007. In the summer of 2008 Vaudeville won a battle of the bands competition sending them to Nashville to record their debut album, "Dismantle the Sky" with Chris Mara.
