Cory Branan is a singer/songwriter, born in Southaven, Mississippi. He garnered comparisons to Ryan Adams, Pete Yorn, and Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst with the release of his 2002 debut album The Hell You Say. By his teens, Branan was playing hard rock and heavy metal, eventually fronting a Black Sabbath cover band. In his early 20s he began to explore the music of John Prine, a move which urged him to pick up a guitar and start writing songs. Read more about Cory Branan on Last.fm.

Dan Israel is a singer-songwriter currently based in Minneapolis. He won Song of the Year (for "Come to Me") at the 2005 Minnesota Music Awards. In the late '80s and early '90s, he was one-half of the folk duo One Town Horse in Chicago. In the mid '90s, he fronted the Austin, TX folk-rock group Potter's Field (where he was named one of Austin's top 15 songwriters). In 1996, he moved to Minneapolis, where he formed Dan Israel and the Cultivators, releasing several CDs, both solo and with the Cultivators. Dan Israel on Last.fm.
