Formed in 2009 by guitarist and vocalist John Pelant, bassist Micky Alfano and multi-instrumentalist Mark Ritsema, Night Moves is a distinctly original concoction. Their honey-dipped sound seethes with a kind of down-home tenderness -- and like the best glittering music -- the arrangements are colossal in shape. Members Christy Hunt (Von Bondies, Ouija Radio) Arzu Gokcen (Selby Tigers), Jacques Wait (Twilight Hours, Iguano, Magnatone), Charles Gehr (Seawhores, Marijuana Deathsquads, Ouija Radio, Jazz Man's Needle, Mid Carson July) formed in January 2010. With no products available to the public at the time, this band became a regional interest due to live performances and song writing alone. Their eponymous debut album was released July 5, 2011.
