A Night in the Box hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota as part of Afternoon Records. The band consists of Clayton Hagen (vocals, Gibson), Travis Hetman (vocals electric/acoustic guitar, banjo, harmonica, etc.), Alex Dalton (drums), and Kailyn Spencer (violin). Their music is a refreshingly energetic mix of bluegrass and folk rock, incorporating stomping, clapping, and sweet harmonization to their tunes. Pretty Boy Thorson & The Falling Angels are a punk/country band from Minneapolis, MN. The band describes themselves as country, and their Gram-Parsons-tribute name and their adulation of Merle Haggard is just part of this. Most of their songs are constructed like country songs, and much of the content is country as well: heartache, loneliness, whiskey.
