The Dollyrots are an energetic pop punk band from Los Angeles, CA. Vocals and bass are provided by Kelly Ogden. On guitar is Luis Cabezas, and Chris Black is on drums. They've released 4 full albums: Eat My Heart Out (2004), Because I'm Awesome (2007), A Little Messed Up (2010), and The Dollyrots (2012). In 2011 The Dollyrots came out with an EP entitled Arrested Youth. Some time after Chris Black quit the band and was replaced with Alicia Warrington. Their new self-titled album was released in 2012. The Melismatics' upcoming album "MANIA!" was produced by Jon Auer of The Posies and Big Star, along with Ed Ackerson (Motion City Soundtrack, Golden Smog, The Replacements) and was mixed by John Fields. The LP was mastered at Sterling Sound in NYC by Chris Athens (Coldplay, Beastie Boys, NERD, etc) and features collaborations with Dan Wilson (Adele, Semisonic) and Jon Auer who also lends vocals to several tracks.
