Big Business is a stoner rock / sludge band formed in 2004. Originally from the Seattle area, the band relocated to Los Angeles in February, 2006. The band is currently signed to the record label they formed, Gold Metal. Big Business is a power trio composed of Jared Warren of Karp, The Whip and Tight Bros From Way Back When, Coady Willis of The Murder City Devils and Dead Low Tide, and as of 2011, Scott Martin of 400 Blows. The Life and Times is a Kansas City, MO indie rock band fronted by former Shiner bandleader Allen Epley. After Shiner disbanded in late 2002, Epley began working with drummer Mike Myers and bassist/guitarist John "Houdini" Meredith and released their debut EP "The Flat End Of The Earth" in the summer of 2003. "Flat End's" most noticeable distinction from Shiner was the instrumentation; after the math-rock bombardment that marked Shiner, Epley found a looser, almost Floydian dynamic to his usual foundation of distorted guitar and brooding vocals... Jeremy used to play bass in V9R9D. Jack is used to playing drums in The Deaf. Dave Erb used to play guitar in Sicbay. The band came together about a year ago. Jeremy was looking to start a new project, while Jack was looking to play instrumental music. Auditioned a few cool peeps, but all in all Jeremy and Jack played just way too many notes and a connection could not be built with that third person. Until that third person ended up being Dave.
