Unsane is an influential noise rock music trio from New York City. They are generally classified as noise rock, but their music also touches on elements of hardcore punk and metal. There are two groups who have recorded under the name of 400 Blows. 1. Coming together in 1981 in Croydon, London, England under the name of 400 Blows, this versatile ensemble combined funk, reggae, African music and disco. Their obvious influences, in addition to various ethnic styles, included 23 Skidoo and Throbbing Gristle. The debut release was "Beat The Devil", much in the vein of Cabaret Voltaire, which attracted the attention of Illuminated Records. Mouth of the Architect is an American atmospheric band from Dayton, Ohio, creating music influenced by and similar to Neurosis, Isis, Pelican, Cult of Luna, and various bands. The band formed in 2003 with the lineup of Jason Watkins, Gregory Lahm, Dave Mann, Alex Vernon and Derik Sommer. They released their first album Time & Withering in 2004 to positive reviews. Soon after the band released a split with label mates Kenoma in 2006, their second album The Ties That Blind was released in August, and featured Brent Hinds of Mastodon on guest vocals on one track.
