Clutch is name of at least two bands: [1] A Germantown, MD, USA band. [2] A Japanese band. [1] A Germantown, MD, USA rock band which formed in the early-90s. Members include: Dan Maines (bass), Tim Sult (guitar), Jean-Paul Gaster (drums), Neil Fallon (vocals, guitar, harmonica) and Mick Schauer (organ - joined in 2004). Their recording début was EP Pitchfork (Oct 1991). Each of Clutch's albums is marked by its own distinct and cohesive sound and the band's musical style may be said to have migrated from hardcore punk to hard rock and blues over the course of their career. The BellRays (ALWAYS capitalized as The BellRays) are an American group that combines punk rock music with soul and blues singing styles. The band consists of Lisa Kekaula (vocals), Bob Vennum (guitar), Justin Andres (bass) and Stefan Litrownik (drums). The group, founded in the early 1990s in Riverside, California, prides itself on its independence. The BellRays were originally a duo that played vintage R&B, but they added more members and the band's sound progressed into a rawer, edgier punk, blues, rock & soul sound as heard today. Backyard Tire Fire is an American trio that formed in Asheville, NC in 2001. The band began in the fall of that year with founding members Ed Anderson (vocals, guitars, keyboards) and Tim Kramp (drums, percussion). After encountering several line-up changes, the Tire Fire moved from Asheville to Athens, Georgia in 2002.
