Sic Alps
First Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar
From last.fm:
Sic Alps are a noise pop group from San Francisco and perennially lysergic musical outlet of Mike Donovan, who formed the band with Adam Stonehouse (The Hospitals) in 2004. Current incarnation includes Noel Von Harmonson (Comets On Fire), Douglas Armour and Tim Hellman. Ty Segall is an occasional, reoccurring figure in the live band and on recordings. Sic Alps' sound could be described as a combination of early nineties lo-fi and Bay Area's sixties psychedelia. Sic Alps are notorious for their exciting and energetic live performances. Charles de Gaulle
From Minneapolis
First show on MN Live's calendar
From last.fm:
Noisy punk from Minneapolis. Not to be confused with the French guy. Formed sometime in 2005 by Taylor Harris, Dan Ganin and Isaac Rotto. The trio practiced for a while, but Rotto left to devote his time to Gay Beast. Guitarist Adam Bubolz joined and the trio played a few shows before singer Doug Busson joined. The now quartet played a bunch of shows, went on tour and released an album before taking a break in the summer of 2007. Read more about Charles de Gaulle on Last.fm.
