Dan Israel is a singer-songwriter currently based in Minneapolis. He won Song of the Year (for "Come to Me") at the 2005 Minnesota Music Awards. In the late '80s and early '90s, he was one-half of the folk duo One Town Horse in Chicago. In the mid '90s, he fronted the Austin, TX folk-rock group Potter's Field (where he was named one of Austin's top 15 songwriters). In 1996, he moved to Minneapolis, where he formed Dan Israel and the Cultivators, releasing several CDs, both solo and with the Cultivators. Dan Israel on Last.fm.

Charlie Parr plays original and traditional folk and Piedmont-style blues, accompanying himself on National resonator guitar, 12-string guitar and sometimes a banjo. He was raised in Austin, Minnesota, in a household that prized traditional American folk music and his style bears the influence of hours spent listening to country blues records and Smithsonian/Folkways field recordings; often in the garage.
