Their debut record Idigaragua was an indie-rock opera performed with a full cast of actors and dancers that was written up nationally by Variety Magazine. While working on their follow-up record, Fort Wilson Riot amicably pared down to the duo of Amy & Jacob, joined, and toured with the band Ice Palace opening for Cloud Cult on there Fall Tour of 2009. Turning their house into a recording studio, Amy & Jacob worked by themselves and with trusted collaborators to write and record songs for Predator/Prey, as well as build up a body of new songs to be released in the future. Action Camp is a duo based in Pittsburgh, PA whose sound blends elements of doom pop, electro, surf, and art rock. Members Maura Jacob and Bengt Alexsander combine found sound, drum loops, synths, low-tuned guitars, and Jacob’s classically-trained vocals to create music that can alternate between eerily gentle to sweeping and ferocious. This layering of the organic with the synthetic “creates a distinct sound that takes the best of all these worlds and boils it down into one cohesive unit... goodness that’s silent, murky and ready to explode” (Dayton City Paper).
