There are, at least, four artists known as Atmosphere: 1) An American alternative rap band. 2) A Polish rock band. 3) An Italian disco group. 4) A Vietnamese metal band. 1) The Minnesota underground hip-hop group was formed around 1994. At its creation, the group was called "Urban Atmosphere". Unlike many hip hop groups, Atmosphere provides its own live instrumentation, usually consisting of bass guitar and drums. Musab (a.k.a. Minnesota Slicks, formerly known as Beyond and is now going by just Sab the Artist. Sab began his career as a hip hop artist. He was part of The Headshots Crew and then went on to be a co-founder of Rhymesayers Entertainment. His debut album entitled Beyond Comparison (1996) was the first release of indie hip-hop label giant, Rhymesayers Entertainment. Born in 1972 in Los Angeles, California, I Self Devine exists as a testament of survival. Raised in the brutal streets during the gang and government funded crack epidemic, he strived for understanding and deeper meaning to life's movement. His father, once a member of the Solidad Brothers, taught and exposed him to the underbelly of society.
