From last.fm:

There's no guide or manual for what Mystery Palace does, no easy clockwork formula hidden in the Minneapolis based trio's agenda. Sequenced electronics plus live instruments offer a tough enough row to hoe on their own; when the former come from a pair of heavily circuit-bent Yamaha mid-pro keyboards, opportunities for disaster multiply exponentially. Luckily, so do opportunities for the sorts of disastrous successes the band enjoys regularly, largely thanks to founder Ryan Olcott's aptitude for riding his profusely toggle-switched brainchildren's outputs like a porn star. From last.fm:

Arriving as what MTV Iggy deemed "a new pop iconoclast," Dearling Physique’s bold and exuberant debut full-length album Deadeye Dealer found a diverse audience captivated by its cinematic and synthesia-inducing sound. The universal acclaim that followed helped earn the band such recognition as Metromix’s “Artist To Watch” and MTV Iggy’s “Artist of the Week.” Dearling Physique’s stunning music video for the single “Discipline Your Hands” also received high praise, with favorable mentions from OUT Magazine, Afro Punk and The Onion. Ecuador/Minneapolis’ Karen Freire, and her band Buffalo Moon’s Wetsuit cassette tape definitely delivers on the promise of sunny, Astrud Gilberto/Stan Getz-inspired “bossanova/light psych” (see “Poolside Dreaming” + “Jamba Samba”), album closer “Beach Boy” is a classic, lovelorn ’60s pop gem. http://www.myspace.com/buffalomoon Read more about Buffalo Moon on Last.fm.
