KaiserCartel are American duo Courtney Kaiser (former backing singer for John Mellencamp and for the Wallflowers) and Benjamin Cartel. Their albums include Double Standard (2005), March Forth (2008), Secret Transit (2010). "We've been compared to Gram Parsons & Emmylou Harris," says Benjamin. "I think we're more like Lucy and Ricky," adds Courtney. The dynamic duo of Courtney Kaiser and Benjamin Cartel, KaiserCartel, formed when the two Brooklyn based musicians joined forces to tour the country in the summer of 2004. Kid Dakota
From Minneapolis
First show since since May 15, 2010 • First Cedar show since February 21, 2009 • First show supporting a touring headliner since April 9, 2010 • 43rd show on MN Live's calendar since March 5, 2005
From last.fm:
Kid Dakota is, predictably, a band with roots in South Dakota. Darren Jackson, who migrated to Minneapolis (where he still resides) after college, built Kid Dakota's sound upon his mid-90's self-produced bedroom recordings. Eventually, he met drummer Christopher McGuire, and music began to flow. Kid Dakota's notoriety increased when the 5 song EP So Pretty caught the attention of Low's Alan Sparhawk.
