From Lansing, Michigan

From last.fm:
Cheap Girls have been a band since the spring of 2007. The band was started with simple intentions of playing simple and loud rock songs. A 3-piece, the members are Adam Aymor (guitar), Ben Graham (drums), and Ian Graham (vocals and bass guitar). The band spent the better part of their first year in Ben's basement working out the songs that would become their first full length LP, "Find Me A Drink Home" Read more about Cheap Girls on Last.fm.
The Menzingers
From Pennsylvania
First Twin Cities show since since August 1, 2009
From last.fm:
The Menzingers originally formed after the dissolution of Bob And The Sagets, a band local to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area of Pennsylvania. With the addition of Greg Barnett the band recorded a demo/self-released album "A Lesson In The Abuse Of Information Technology" in 2006. Shortly thereafter they were signed by Go-Kart Records and re-recorded the songs from "A Lesson" and re-released their album with the addition of some new tracks. At the Fest VII in Gainesville, FL they were approached by Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms and subsequently signed to Red Scare Industries. Read more about The Menzingers on Last.fm.
The Slow Death
From Minneapolis
First show since since March 18, 2010 • First Triple Rock show • First show supporting a touring headliner
From last.fm:
There are two bands called The Slow Death. 1) The Slow Death is a melodic death doom metal band from Blue Mountains, Australia with both male and female vocals, formed by Stuart Prickett (mastermind of Elysium and Stone Wings) in 2007. Their style is ultra slow death/doom with melodic riffs, powerful deep growls, grandiose female vocals and tragical lyrics. The atmosphere is mournful and dark. The guitars are magnificent with perfect riffs, amazing melodies and rhythm changes. The melodies are melancholic passages of perpetual depression. Read more about The Slow Death on Last.fm.
