God Johnson
From Minnesota
First Twin Cities show since since January 2, 2008 • First Fine Line show since April 20, 2006 • 42nd Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar since April 7, 2006
From last.fm:
God Johnson was a rock/jam band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. GJ was formed by former Big Wu lead guitarist Jason Fladager along with Jimmy Rogers on bass, and Scott Roerick on Keyboards in 2003. Later that year drummer Royce Rock and Tim Carrow on Keyboards also joined GJ. Now a full five piece outfit, GJ still didn't have a full time viable lead vocalist (most of the vocal duties were being handled by Fladager and Roerick). So in early 2005 they added lead vocalist/keyboardist Tim Carrow. Read more about God Johnson on Last.fm.
The Histronic
From Minneapolis
First show since since July 26, 2008 • First Fine Line show since March 27, 2007 • Ninth show on MN Live's calendar since March 27, 2007
From last.fm:
The Histronic is a brand new three-piece electronic dance band that specializes in live house, trance, and electronics. How it came to be: In mid-January of 2007, three high school friends reunited for a jam session. All three had spent the past four years attending music schools far from each other. The drummer, Matt Mantle, was in West Virginia; the keyboardist, Dorsey, was in Colorado; and the bass player, Bill Finn, was in Minnesota. After graduating in the spring of '06, Mantle and Dorsey both made the decision to move back to the great state of Minnesota. Read more about The Histronic on Last.fm.
