Ezra Furman
From Oakland, California
First Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar
From last.fm:
Ezra Furman is a singer and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. It is difficult to peg him as part of a single musical genre because he loves to experiment with different styles of songwriting. Suffice it to say that Ezra makes up songs and plays them on his acoustic guitar with ferocious energy and gut wrenching sincerity. His music is derivative of, but never completely part of, a number of musical genres: rock, blues, punk, folk and pop are some prime examples. Read more about Ezra Furman on Last.fm.

From Goshen, Vermont
First Twin Cities show since since September 7, 2011 • First Entry show since March 29, 2011 • Fifth Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar since January 16, 2011

Brian Laidlaw
From Minneapolis
First show since since April 20, 2012 • First Entry show • First show supporting a touring headliner since October 17, 2011 • 11th show on MN Live's calendar since December 17, 2009
From last.fm:
Brian Laidlaw is a songwriter from San Francisco, & a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota MFA program in poetry. His newest album, called wolf wolf wolf, was written as a musical counterpart to his poetry thesis, & was produced by Brett Bullion (Zoo Animal, Haley Bonar, Dark Dark Dark). Brian’s sound is a word-rich take on Americana, owing a stylistic debt to a long lineage of writers, romantics, nostalgics & drunks. Read more about Brian Laidlaw on Last.fm.
