From last.fm:

There are more than one artists with this name. 1. Establishment on the head with Murmur, the sQuares left the corn fields of Indiana and headed north. For some unknown reason (cheap rent and beer?) the boys landed in Milwaukee. It was 1985 and since they hardly knew a soul in town they spent most of their time writing songs and practicing. In the Autumn of that year they spent a weekend in the studio and produced the critically aclaimed Number 1 Cassette. -The Squares Read more about Squares on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

It's a rare thing to find smart, poetic lyricism in pop music. Greycoats' anglo-rock manages to spend both words and melody wisely. Their debut full-length album, "Setting Fire to the Great Unknown" (self-released, 2008) was marked by strong ambition, heartfelt romanticism and big ideas with a cinematic sweep exploring the mechanics of polarization. Their music found airtime on the hit teen drama Gossip Girl, leading to national exposure for the quartet from Minnesota and a tour of both U.S. coasts through the end of 2009. From last.fm:

The Small Cities formed in 2007 in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. The band began as a three- piece (Leif, David, and Jimmy), but quickly saw the need to bring others into the fold. They released their self-titled EP in 2008, which cracked the CMJ top 200 and saw the band opening for the likes of The Besnard Lakes and Ladyhawk. Since the release of the EP, they made some new friends, bought new amps, and turned them up. Read more about The Small Cities on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

The Heartbeats were a 1950s American doo-wop group best known for their song A Thousand Miles Away, which charted at #53 in 1957. The Heartbeats were formed in the mid 1950s in Jamaica, Queens. Originally called "The Hearts", they switched in 1955 when a female group by the same name scored a minor billboard hit. They were signed shortly after James "Shep" Sheppard joined the group, and were shuffled between various production companies over the next few years. The group split up in 1959, and Sheppard later went on to start Shep & The Limelites. The Heartbeats on Last.fm.
