A rapper out of Minneapolis, he has been described as lyrically abrasive. From his myspace, "Self-described as lyrically "abrasive," Minnesota native Muja Messiah has verbally accosted his way into the national spotlight. "Since forever" is how long he dates his rapping career, but it wasn't until recently by way of his underground hit "Patriot Act" that Muja Messiah earned national notoriety. "The song's brazen critique of President Bush and American foreign and domestic policies — "I'm supposed to be threatened by al Qaeda when I was always afraid of America first... Dance Band, the Twin Cities' live act sensation has been making considerable waves in Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN USA during their short existence. Dance Band built up a large amount of local buzz in 2007 due to their energetic, humorous and crowd-controlling concerts. Instrumentally, Dance Band is probably best described as "sci-fi electro funk rock." This matches the band's continuously changing attire, which usually looks like a glorious fusion of form-fitting super hero costumes, 80s-era exercise clothes and... sex. Born in 1972 in Los Angeles, California, I Self Devine exists as a testament of survival. Raised in the brutal streets during the gang and government funded crack epidemic, he strived for understanding and deeper meaning to life's movement. His father, once a member of the Solidad Brothers, taught and exposed him to the underbelly of society. In 1980, when I Self was only eight years old, his dad left him and his mother on Christmas day. Read more about I Self Devine on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

Kill the Vultures don't just make hip-hop. They make junk hop: insulated, spare and stripped down sounds from the rust belt. Willfully restrained, raw and uncooked, Kill the Vultures is a masterful exercise in excision and reduction. Shedding the skin of their previous outing as Oddjobs, MCs Advizer (Adam Waytz), Crescent Moon (Alexei Casselle) and Nomi (Mario De Mira) push hip-hop in a new direction through the tunnel vision and bare-bones production of Anatomy (Stephen Lewis).
