MDC (Millions of Dead Cops) is an american anarcho-punk band formed in Austin, Texas in 1979. The band were subsequently based in San Francisco, California, and are currently based in Portland, Oregon. Originally formed as "The Stains" before changing their name, the band also changed their name to a different initialism of MDC with every new record released. They play fast hardcore punk music espousing far-left socio-political ideals, with singer Dave Dictor expressing his animal rights, gay rights and anti-capitalist convictions. Formed in 2008, War//Plague is a Crust Punk/Metal band based in Minneapolis, MN comprised members from Provoked, Calloused, Pontius Pilate, and Path of Destruction among others. They recorded a 3 song demo in 2008 (at the House of Misery), that is currently available digitally from Moshpit Tragedy Records. Recently, Active Rebellion released 'Smolder' the band's debut 7". Profane Existence released a War//Plague/Police Bastard Split Lp on May 3rd, 2011 - both the 7" and the W//P side of the split were recorded with Amy at Core Source Productions.
