The band – Andy Bembridge (guitar), Ryan McNally (vocals), Scott McVeigh (bass), Peter Remiger (guitar) and Andrew Thornbrough (drums) came together in 2008 in the Twin Cities. From last.fm:

Kitty Rhombus formed in Madison, WI in 2007, though certain members now reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Utilizing this dual citizenship, they frequently perform in both cities. After a demo in 2008 and the 2009 EP, When The Walls Fell, Kitty Rhombus released their first full length album, Lips And Arms in 2010. The abrupt changes and stilted grooves of Lips And Arms bring the listener along on a multi-dimensional, sci-fi themed thrill ride comprised of a psychedelic mouse, contemplations on teleporting to the gas station, and out of body experiences resulting from expired anesthetic. From last.fm:

National Bird was a Sydney, Australia based indie rock band active from 1999 to 2007. It featured Dileep Krishnayya (vocals & guitar) , Tobey Doctor (drums), and either zero, one or two bass players. The band's sound was influenced by indie rock bands such as Dinosaur Jr. and Built to Spill and the live shows were known for being loud, raucous and often drunken and chaotic affairs also. The band was originally named Laissez Faire but they changed the name after a line-up change and due to the numerous other bands also using that name. Read more about National Bird on Last.fm.
