From last.fm:

Ecuador/Minneapolis’ Karen Freire, and her band Buffalo Moon’s Wetsuit cassette tape definitely delivers on the promise of sunny, Astrud Gilberto/Stan Getz-inspired “bossanova/light psych” (see “Poolside Dreaming” + “Jamba Samba”), album closer “Beach Boy” is a classic, lovelorn ’60s pop gem. http://www.myspace.com/buffalomoon Read more about Buffalo Moon on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

"If the new Is/Is record "III" sounds somewhat familiar to you when you hear it for the first time this week, it may be because many of the tunes have already been made widely available for early listening. We have been enjoying “Hate Smile,” “Lie Awake,” and “Bomb Me” for much of this spring already. III’s release is still a welcome development though, since not only does it offer an additional grip of tunes, it also coheres them into a singular format – which for me anyway is always the preferred method of listening. From last.fm:

National Bird was a Sydney, Australia based indie rock band active from 1999 to 2007. It featured Dileep Krishnayya (vocals & guitar) , Tobey Doctor (drums), and either zero, one or two bass players. The band's sound was influenced by indie rock bands such as Dinosaur Jr. and Built to Spill and the live shows were known for being loud, raucous and often drunken and chaotic affairs also. The band was originally named Laissez Faire but they changed the name after a line-up change and due to the numerous other bands also using that name. Read more about National Bird on Last.fm.
