Charlie Parr plays original and traditional folk and Piedmont-style blues, accompanying himself on National resonator guitar, 12-string guitar and sometimes a banjo. He was raised in Austin, Minnesota, in a household that prized traditional American folk music and his style bears the influence of hours spent listening to country blues records and Smithsonian/Folkways field recordings; often in the garage. Frankie Lee is the name of more than one artist. 1. An American Soul Singer 2. An American Singer/Songwriter 1) Frankie Lee Jones, 29 April 1941, Mart, Texas, USA. Lee began singing as a small child as a member of the congregation of a local church and later with the church's choir. In his teens he began singing secular music, including blues, R&B and soul.
