Raised in a pentecostal church outside of Grand Forks, ND, the brother’s Killfoil are a musical force to be reckoned with. Their songwriting employs heavy religious imagery, laced with pained, lustful, and often humorous wit. The Chord and the fawn was formed almost by accident when a melody sprung upon the mind of singer and ukulele player Dani Lewis while she was mowing her lawn. From there, the rest of the would be band was only a phone call away: she called up her cousin, multi-instrumentalist Angie Krube, and the Chord and the Fawn was born.
