Red Wanting Blue
From Columbus, Ohio
First Twin Cities show on MN Live's calendar
From last.fm:
Led by singer-songwriter Scott Terry, Red Wanting Blue is proudly based in Columbus, Ohio, but might as well be America’s local band. For years, the group had been hiding in plain sight as Terry went about logging thousands of miles on the road throughout the nation’s heartland, making fans the hard way – one at a time. With only the aid of word of mouth, hard work and perseverance, Red Wanting Blue has established an exceedingly loyal following in and around the Midwest where the band regularly fills clubs normally reserved for bigger names. Nathan Miller
From Minneapolis
First show since since June 1, 2007 • First Fine Line show since April 28, 2007 • 22nd show on MN Live's calendar since February 7, 2005
From last.fm:
"What is that instrument he's playing?" That's usually one of the first reactions to Nathan Miller. For the record it's an acoustic lap slide guitar. Its roots are from the 20s and 30s when Hawaiian music was all the rage. Today Nathan uses it for everything but Hawaiian music (maybe one day though). One listen and you wont care what instrument Nathan Miller is playing, but you will want more. Nathan Miller began playing guitar after hearing Jimi Hendrix’s “Purple Haze” on a record his mother bought him when he was 12. Read more about Nathan Miller on Last.fm.

ReadyGoes
From Minneapolis
First show on MN Live's calendar
From last.fm:
“So what would you gentlemen like on your pizzas tonight?” was the only thing heard, via speakerphone, promoter on the other end, aside from the blowing-by of traffic through downed windows on Interstate 94 leaving Minneapolis. Following this, within the vehicle, were suggestions along the lines of “Skittles and Clouds,” “Robots and Fire Alarms,” and “Bald Eagle and Tyranny.” Luckily, circa June...
