In 1981 Rich Mattson wrote his first song. It was such a great time that he still does it today. In 2000 he started Ol' Yeller after dismantling the Glenrustles (Minneapolis, 1988-1999). Ol' Yeller plays pretty much anywhere. They record and release their own albums. Their recordings are lush and pretty and soaking with buttery guitars. Live, they rock like there is no tomorrow. We walk the seashore longing for "E the G" (Erwin the German, that is) singing through the seasons to the ocean, the moon, eventually chalking the whole thing up to experience and adding the whole affair to a collection of cherished memories.
