There are currently two groups listed that share the name Vaudeville: 1) (Minneapolis, MN alternative, hardrock, electronic) Vaudeville, brainchild of Coon Rapids, MN native Christopher Gummeson, began in the fall of 2007. In the summer of 2008 Vaudeville won a battle of the bands competition sending them to Nashville to record their debut album, "Dismantle the Sky" with Chris Mara. The Phoenix Philosophy is an Electronic Rock band from Minneapolis, MN. The idea behind “the phoenix philosophy” applies to the band’s sonic evolution from a 4 piece rock band into a heavily electronic influenced duo consisting of Jesse Weber (vocals/keys/programming) and Stephanie Thorup (vocals/guitar/keys). Keeping the element of commanding guitars and introducing dueling male/female vocals over eerie synths creates a sonic blend of rock and electronic (pop) that matures and inspires with every release.
