The Histronic is a brand new three-piece electronic dance band that specializes in live house, trance, and electronics. How it came to be: In mid-January of 2007, three high school friends reunited for a jam session. All three had spent the past four years attending music schools far from each other. The drummer, Matt Mantle, was in West Virginia; the keyboardist, Dorsey, was in Colorado; and the bass player, Bill Finn, was in Minnesota. Consolation Champ is a Minnesota-based rock group. The band consists of John Richards on guitar and vocals, Matt Mitchell on bass and vocals, and Rick Nordquist on drums and vocals. As of late 2007, Chris Mitchell is also playing with the band, adding lead guitar parts. Singer-songwriter John Richards released a self-titled album ('John Richards') of acoustic songs before deciding to expand to the sound of a full band, recruitng Matt and Rick.
