God Johnson was a rock/jam band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. GJ was formed by former Big Wu lead guitarist Jason Fladager along with Jimmy Rogers on bass, and Scott Roerick on Keyboards in 2003. Later that year drummer Royce Rock and Tim Carrow on Keyboards also joined GJ. Now a full five piece outfit, GJ still didn't have a full time viable lead vocalist (most of the vocal duties were being handled by Fladager and Roerick). Pert Near Sandstone is a bluegrass band from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. The band has recorded five full length albums since 2004, and have toured the United States extensively. Former full-time member (and now collaborator) Ryan Young plays fiddle with Trampled By Turtles.
