From last.fm:

There's no guide or manual for what Mystery Palace does, no easy clockwork formula hidden in the Minneapolis based trio's agenda. Sequenced electronics plus live instruments offer a tough enough row to hoe on their own; when the former come from a pair of heavily circuit-bent Yamaha mid-pro keyboards, opportunities for disaster multiply exponentially. Luckily, so do opportunities for the sorts of disastrous successes the band enjoys regularly, largely thanks to founder Ryan Olcott's aptitude for riding his profusely toggle-switched brainchildren's outputs like a porn star. American Rock Band. Minneapolis, MN. Johnny Solomon. Molly Moore. Adam Switlick. Jonathan Blaseg. Al Weiers. A few years ago John Solomon walked away from music. After a long struggle with addiction and a brief stint in jail he broke up his critically acclaimed band and moved to a small town. And supposedly that was that. Even though Solomon left music, music never left him. After a long hiatus, he called some friends to come and demo up a new album.... From last.fm:

To call Jeremy Messersmith a musician is half-truth: He’s also a storyteller, who has carefully crafted a trilogy of songs that narrate life. His first full-length release The Alcatraz Kid is a moving collection of acoustic-driven lullabies with titles like “Novocain” and “Beautiful Children” that innocently question the purpose of things to come. The integrity of these delicate songs immediately struck a chord with critics and fans alike, and captured the attention of Semisonic’s Dan Wilson, who offered to produce Messersmith’s follow-up album, The Silver City. All the Pretty Horses is a dark glam/metal band based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and fronted by transgendered lead singer Venus de Mars. The band has seen a varying lineup over its long history, perhaps most notably with fellow transgendered bandmates Tempest and Jendeen. The band briefly disbanded in 2006 so that each member could follow separate musical career paths. Venus De Mars pursued a solo career, releasing one album, Trashed and Broken Hearted. After a short stint with House of Flowers, Venus resumed performing with All The Pretty Horses, reuniting with former drummer Matt Bachelor. Read more about All the Pretty Horses on Last.fm.
