The van Gobots were conceived on the fourth of July, 2007 in the back of a minivan. They released their debut EP in September of 2008 and their follow-up full-length record, Guantanamo Beach Party was released in September of 2009. Guantanamo Beach Party spent one month in the CMJ Top 200 with a peak chart position of #128. Brothers Kyle and Justin Steen grew up with fellow musician Bob Dubois in a sleepy Wisconsin town known more for agate rock than indie rock. Both brothers settled in St. Paul to pursue a higher education where they met Hunting Club frontman Eric Pasi. Read more about Hunting Club on Last.fm.
