From last.fm:
Conscripted in 2008, Hunting Club takes aim with its debut self-titled LP. Drawing from a range of artists (Elliott Smith, the Pixies, Portishead and Prince) Hunting Club melts away the thick ice of Minnesota by creating a lush and highly orchestrated sound that bends the ear with drones of happiness and sadness. Brothers Kyle and Justin Steen grew up with fellow musician Bob Dubois in a sleepy Wisconsin town known more for agate rock than indie rock. Both brothers settled in St. Paul to pursue a higher education where they met Hunting Club frontman Eric Pasi. Read more about Hunting Club on Last.fm.

2011 was a busy year for The Gillespie Killings. After 4 years, multiple bass players, and sporadic shows in the Twin Cities area the band solidified its lineup, self-released a digital EP, and spent the majority of the spring / summer playing local and regional shows in several states. The aforementioned EP, titled Universal Death Threats / Songs To Live By, was engineered by Jacob Gruhn (Me And My Arrow) and Ross Neuske (The Nightingales) at both The Sound Gallery and Neuske’s home studio.
