The Sword is an American band from Austin, Texas. Formed in 2003, the band is composed of vocalist and guitarist John D. Cronise, guitarist Kyle Shutt, bassist Bryan Richie, and drummer Santiago "Jimmy" Vela III. Originally signed to New York-based independent label KEMADO RECORDS, the group released its debut album Age of Winters, which was largely written by Cronise before the band's formation, in 2006. The follow-up, Gods of the Earth, was released two years later, and gave the group its first entry on the US Billboard 200 chart. Read more about The Sword on Last.fm.

From last.fm:

Dead Meadow met in the DC punk/indie scene, though their music draws from more faraway sources. The band formed in the fall of 1998 from the ashes of local bands The Impossible Five and Colour, when singer-guitarist Jason Simon, bassist Steve Kille, and drummer Mark Laughlin set out to fuse their love of early 70's hard rock and 60's psychedelia with their love of writers J.R.R. Tolkien and H.P. Lovecraft. Read more about Dead Meadow on Last.fm.

Romero

From Madison, Wisconsin

First Twin Cities show since since April 21, 2011

» More artist info on MN Live

From last.fm:

Romero’s Jeffrey Mundt spent most of the 90’s behind the drum kit for a variety of bands including Bovine Records' THUG & punk legends, NAKED AGGRESSION. A long-time guitar player & songwriter, he often dabbled with fronting a band, but never pursued it seriously. Enter: a move to northern WI, a random Craigslist ad, a casual writing and recording session (with Mundt handling vocals, guitar & drums!) & Romero was born! Rumors of the project peaked the interest of PONEY drummer & vocalist Ben Brooks, he volunteered and was quickly hired. Read more about Romero on Last.fm.
